TISTA Science and Technology is seeking a Risk Analyst who is an enthusiastic leader, one who demonstrates a good understanding of best practices for complex organization. Our Risk Analyst will work with C-Suite Executives within the Veteran Affairs Office and will be responsible for executing technical, business, process, financial, and information security risk management.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, communicate, mitigate and manage project/product line/portfolio level risks; provide weekly updates to client on issues/risks requiring escalation in a concise manner.
  • Conduct vulnerability/risk assessments and proactively provide expertise to management regarding risk mitigation.
  • Design work assignment/project plans to accomplish desired objectives.
  • Recommend changes to improve or enhance quality that are well thought-out, researched and supported, and add business value.
  • Develop recommendations that are well supported, feasible, and action-oriented, focused on the root cause, and when appropriately implemented, will achieve desired results.
  • Design and implement an overall risk management process for the organization, which includes an analysis of the financial impact on the company when risks occur
  • Perform risk assessment: analyzing current risks and identifying potential risks that are affecting the company including actionable impact analysis
  • Perform a risk evaluation: evaluating the organization’s/product line’s handling of risks, and comparing potential risks with criteria set out by the product line such as costs and legal requirements
  • Establish risk level the company is willing to take
  • Prepare risk management budgets
  • Perform risk reporting tailored to the relevant audience
  • Explain the external risk posed by corporate governance to stakeholders
  • Create business continuity plans to limit risks
  • Conduct policy and compliance audits, which will include liaising with program and product line managers as assigned, and provide detailed report of findings and identified dependencies, including recommended mitigation plan and corresponding timeline for implementation upon approval.
  • Build risk awareness amongst staff by providing support and training within the company.
  • Perform day-to-day management guidance and execution of tasks defined.
  • Manage resources and project based on established and monitor progress as applicable.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, adaptable to new concerns and changing environments.
  • Agile Project Management experience.
  • Ability to complete projects for various complex services and special requests in a timely manner.
  • Commercial awareness (understanding of how your business and industry operate and make money)

 

Education:

  • Master’s Degree in engineering, or a related scientific or technical discipline is required w/10 years of experience
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) required

Clearance:

  • The ability to pass a Moderate Background Investigation (MBI)

Pay Range

  • This position ranges from $51,145 to $85,625.
  • The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
  • Also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of compensation, such as bonuses.
