Responsibilities

  • Leads Federal Civilian Business Development efforts to secure new, strategic contracts with a focus on USDA and DHS.
  • Drive call plan activities and increase PWin on deals with value-based client interactions.
  • Supporting the development of a healthy, diverse and sustainable sales pipeline of opportunities
  • Improving win rate by engaging with Federal employees proactively.
  • Creates and presents deal review presentations intended for corporate capture gate approvals.
  • Collaborating closely with other members of the corporate functional areas, including Executive, Operations, Technology, Capture, Proposals, Contracts, and Pricing teams
  • Collaborate with proposal and capture professionals on strategic opportunities; analyze customer requirements, competitors, and internal capabilities.
  • Apply knowledge of proven best practices in sales management processes.
  • Help develop and negotiate winning teaming arrangements with potential partners, including work share allocation and marketing arrangements.
  • Participate in color team proposal reviews.
  • Provide accurate and timely data for weekly opportunity reviews and call plan updates.
  • Forecast opportunity targets, track, and record activity on accounts to close deals.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience working in the federal government or in federal government consulting.
  • Proven experience successfully leading or supporting Business Development of at least two Federal government contracts ($5 million in value or larger) with a focus in Federal Civilian, specifically in DHS or USDA.
  • Aptitude for results-focused, milestone-based business development process.
  • Diplomatic, persuasive and articulate communication style to establish and maintain rapport with internal and external customers/partners.
  • Exhibits strong oral and written communication skills and is versed at leading a disparate group to a common goal
  • Self-motivation and flexibility to work on multiple competing priorities.
  • Positive and proactive can-do attitude and approach.
  • Must be a team player that proactively engages in a positive manner in all phases of the business development life-cycle.
  • Ability to interact effectively with all levels of an organization.
  • Documented track record of winning new business both as a prime and subcontractor.
  • Sales CRM experience

 

Education:

  • Undergraduate degree from accredited college or university in business management or related field
  • MS, MBA a plus

 Location: 

  • Rockville, MD  (REMOTE)

Salary Information:

  • The pay for this position ranges from $105,000 to $125,500.
  • The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
  • Also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of compensation, such as bonuses.
