Responsibilities

  • Research, analyze and resolve complex production problems related to the operating system and Independent Software Vendor (ISV) software in IBM or equivalent environments and with integration of various hardware and software components (printers) and applications.
  • Monitor performance, recommend performance, and process improvements, and perform evaluations on hardware, software, operations, scheduling that impact system operations performance.
  • Test & QA new releases of IBM or equivalent-provided maintenance for components of the IBM or equivalent Mainframe Operating System.
  • Work with the Service Now System Admin & Developer to deploy Service Now Integration Hub, Flow Designer and SFTP Spokes technologies in Non-Production and Production Environments.
  • Mentor other Service Now System Administrators on the configuration of Service Now Integration Hub, Flow Designer and SFTP Spokes technologies. 
  • Act as a Sr. Middleware Architect to Evaluate and Design software applications, planning the various features of a program and integrate them into a functioning system
  • Determines the technical specifications of a project, creating technical blueprint and editing code.  
  • Document and record every aspect of an application or software and train and oversee the activities of the4 members of the development team.

Qualifications

  • The Contractor must have extensive experience with System Administrator responsibilities and product installations.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience working with Service Now Integration Hub, Flow Designer and SFTP Spokes.
  • Minimum 7 - 10 years of experience with Service Now administration Demonstrated ability with ServiceNow incident, change, problem, request, CMDB and knowledge management applications. Support installation verification and maintenance of products from the following independent software vendors (ISV) currently in use and any future products added such as BMC, CA, IBM, Nearstar, Open Software Technologies, Oracle, RSD, Statistical Analysis System (SAS), Syncsort, Service Now and Xerox. 
  • Citizen Developer Learning Path, ServiceNow Application Developer  (Technical deep dive including Flow Designer for configuring the SFTP Spoke), Ad-HOC Skillsets (MID Server Fundamentals, ServiceNow Integration Hub Fundamentals and Certifications Required, ServiceNow Platform Implementation (ILT), Flow Designer, Certificate Auth on linux/unix (using certificate to connect via ssh), SysAdmin skills for SFTP.) 
  • Have certifications such as ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD), Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS), or Certified Technical Architect (CTA). 

Education:

  • Masters Degree in computer science, electronics engineering or other engineering or technical discipline and 10 years experience
  • Ten (10) years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for education (20 years total)

Clearance:

  • The ability to pass a Tier 4/High Background Investigation
